How to Save WhatsApp Form Responses to Google Sheets
You can use ZazzyAgent to collect customer information through a conversational form and save the responses directly into Google Sheets.
This is useful for:
Lead generation
Appointment requests
Surveys
Enquiries
Customer onboarding
Feedback
Quotation requests
A typical workflow looks like:

ZazzyAgent saves the answers

What you need
Prepare:
A connected Google account
A Google Sheet
A User Input flow
Custom fields or system fields for the responses
Step 1: Connect Google Sheets
Open the Google Sheets integration inside ZazzyAgent.
Connect the Google account containing the spreadsheet you want to use.
Approve the requested permissions.
Step 2: Create your User Input flow
Create a User Input flow for the information you want to collect.
For a lead form, you might ask:
What's your name?
What's your email address?
What service are you interested in?
Step 3: Save responses to fields
Each response should be mapped to an appropriate system or custom field.
Example:
Name → Name
Email → Email
Service → Service Interest
This gives your workflow structured data to work with.
Step 4: Prepare your Google Sheet
Create a Sheet with columns matching the information you want to store.
Example:
| Name | ServiceInterest | |
|---|---|---|
Keep the column structure simple.
Step 5: Add Google Sheets submission
After collecting the information, configure the Google Sheets submission functionality available in the User Input workflow.
Select the Google Sheet where the responses should be stored.
Map each Sheet column to the appropriate ZazzyAgent field.
For example:
Name → Name
Email → Email
ServiceInterest → Service Interest
Step 6: Test the workflow
Run the User Input flow yourself.
Enter test information.
For example:
Name: Rahul
Email: rahul@example.com
Service: WhatsApp Automation
Complete the flow.
Then open your Google Sheet.
The submitted information should appear in a new row.
What happens when another customer submits the form?
The same process happens automatically.

Use this for lead generation
A simple lead form can ask:
Name
Phone
Requirement
Budget
Once submitted, the information can be stored in Google Sheets for your sales team.
Use this for appointments
You could collect:
Name
Service
Preferred Date
Preferred Time
The resulting Sheet becomes a simple appointment-request list.
Use this for surveys
Example:
How satisfied are you?
Very satisfied
Satisfied
Neutral
Not satisfied
The responses can then be stored in a spreadsheet for analysis.
Why custom fields matter
The Google Sheets workflow depends on having structured customer information.
Instead of keeping the entire answer only inside a conversation, save important values into custom fields.
Example:
Service Interest = WhatsApp Automation
That field can then be mapped into the appropriate Sheet column.
Common problems
No row appears
Check:
Google account is connected.
Correct Sheet is selected.
User Input completed successfully.
Field mappings are correct.
Required values were actually collected.
Information appears in the wrong column
Review the mapping between Sheet columns and ZazzyAgent fields.
A field is blank
Check whether the response was saved to the expected field before the Google Sheets submission step.
Some information isn't being submitted
Check that the corresponding field is included in the submission mapping.
