# ZazzyAgent Subscriber Manager | Complete Guide to Customer Management

The Subscriber Manager is where you manage the people who interact with your connected channels.

It gives you a central place to view customer information, organize subscribers, manage labels and custom fields, assign sequences, open conversations and perform bulk actions.

For a growing business, understanding the Subscriber Manager is just as important as understanding the chatbot itself.

## What is a subscriber?

A subscriber is a person who has interacted with your connected channel and is available in the relevant subscriber list.

Depending on the channel, the available subscriber information can include things such as:

*   Name

*   Phone number

*   Subscriber ID

*   Subscription information

*   Custom fields

*   Labels

*   Sequences

*   Conversation information

*   User Input responses

The exact information available depends on the connected channel and the data collected.

## Where do I find Subscriber Manager?

Open the relevant subscriber management area from the ZazzyAgent dashboard.

Your connected channels can have their own subscriber lists.

For example, your WhatsApp subscribers are managed separately from your Instagram subscribers.

The layout and available controls can vary by channel.

## Subscriber list

The subscriber list gives you an overview of customers.

A row can contain information such as:

*   Phone number

*   Name

*   Subscriber ID

*   Subscription/created information

*   Last updated information

*   Available actions

You can open an individual subscriber to view more information.

## Open a subscriber profile

Click a subscriber to open their profile.

The profile gives you more detailed information about the customer.

Depending on the available channel and configuration, you may see:

*   Customer details

*   Labels

*   Custom fields

*   Sequence information

*   Input Flow responses

*   Conversation access

This makes the profile useful when a human agent needs to understand the customer before responding.

## Open the customer's conversation

From the subscriber record, you can open the relevant conversation or live chat.

This is useful when you need to see:

*   What the customer asked

* What automation has already done

*   Previous replies

*   Information the customer provided

* Whether a human agent should take over

For more information about human conversations, see [ZazzyAgent Shared Inbox: Manage Customers and Human Handoffs](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/zazzyagent-shared-inbox-human-handoff-guide).

## Labels

Labels let you classify customers.

Examples:

*   New Lead

*   Qualified Lead

*   VIP

*   High Intent

*   Follow-up Required

*   Interested in Product A

You can use labels for organization, filtering and supported automation.

See [How to Use Labels in ZazzyAgent to Organize Customers](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/how-to-use-labels-zazzyagent).

## Custom fields

Custom fields store actual customer information.

Examples:

**City:** Mumbai

**Budget:** ₹50,000

**Product Interest:** Enterprise

Labels and custom fields have different purposes.

Use a label for classification.

Use a custom field for a specific value.

See [ZazzyAgent Custom Fields: How to Store Customer Information](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/zazzyagent-custom-fields-guide).

## Sequences

A subscriber can be associated with sequences as part of your automation.

For example:

**New Lead**

→ Sales Follow-up

You can use the Subscriber Manager to inspect sequence-related customer information and perform supported sequence actions.

See [WhatsApp Sequences: How to Create Automated Follow-Ups](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/whatsapp-sequences-guide).

## Search subscribers

Use the search functionality to find a particular customer.

Search can be useful when you know:

*   Customer name

*   Phone number

*   Other searchable subscriber information

Searching is much faster than manually scrolling through a large database.

## Filter subscribers

Filtering is useful when you don't know the exact customer but know something about them.

For example:

> Show customers with the label VIP.

Or:

> Show customers with a particular custom-field value.

Or:

> Show customers associated with a particular sequence.

Multiple filters can be combined depending on the available Subscriber Manager options.

The current subscriber-management workflow supports filtering using subscriber attributes, labels, sequences and custom-field information.

## Think of filters as dynamic audiences

A useful mental model is:

> Search finds a person.

> Filters find a group.

For example:

**Search**

> Rahul

**Filter**

> All VIP customers in Mumbai

The second is much more useful when preparing a campaign or support workflow.

## Bulk selection

You don't always need to manage customers one at a time.

You can select multiple subscribers from the list.

This lets you perform supported bulk actions.

Examples include:

*   Assign labels

*   Assign sequences

*   Delete subscribers

*   Export data

The current Subscriber Manager documentation confirms bulk selection and batch actions.

## Assign a label to multiple subscribers

Suppose you imported 500 customers who attended an event.

You can filter the relevant customers, select them, and assign a label such as:

> Webinar Attendee

This saves considerable manual work.

## Assign a sequence to multiple subscribers

You can also use bulk actions to assign a sequence to a selected group where supported.

Example:

> 100 new leads → Sales Follow-up

This is useful when you already have an audience and want to start a common automation journey.

## Export subscribers

You can export subscriber information for purposes such as:

*   Backup

*   Reporting

*   CRM work

*   Data analysis

*   Migration

The available export format depends on the current ZazzyAgent functionality.

## Import subscribers

Supported WhatsApp subscriber workflows can allow bulk importing of customer information.

This is useful when you already have customers stored elsewhere.

See [How to Import WhatsApp Contacts from Google Sheets](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/import-whatsapp-contacts-from-google-sheets).

## Create a WhatsApp subscriber manually

Where the WhatsApp subscriber manager provides manual subscriber creation, you can add a customer using their phone number and available optional information.

This can be useful for:

*   Offline leads

*   Leads from another source

* Customers received through another channel

*   Manual data entry

## View User Input responses

If your chatbot collected information using User Input, you can inspect those responses from the subscriber information.

For example, a customer may have provided:

**Name:** Rahul

**Budget:** ₹30,000

**Product:** Laptop

This lets your team understand information captured during automation.

## Delete a subscriber

Deleting a subscriber is a significant action.

Before deleting a record, confirm that you actually want to remove the customer information according to your business's data-retention requirements.

Don't delete customers simply because they are inactive.

## Subscriber Manager as your customer database

Think of Subscriber Manager as the operational customer layer of ZazzyAgent.

Your customer interacts with the chatbot.

↓

ZazzyAgent collects information.

↓

Subscriber Manager stores and organizes that information.

↓

Labels, custom fields and sequences help you act on it.

## Example: New lead

Customer:

> I'm interested in your Enterprise plan.

Your automation can:

1.  Save the customer's information.

2.  Add `Interested` label.

3. Save budget to a custom field.

4.  Start a sequence.

5. Route the customer to sales.

The subscriber profile then becomes a useful record of the relationship.

## Example: Existing customer

Customer:

> I need help with my order.

The subscriber profile may already contain:

*   Name

*   Customer information

*   Labels

*   Previous interactions

*   Custom fields

Your support agent doesn't have to start from zero.

## Subscriber Manager vs Shared Inbox

These modules have different purposes.

### Subscriber Manager

Customer records and organization.

### Shared Inbox

Active conversations and team support.

Use Subscriber Manager when you need to understand or organize the customer.

Use the inbox when you need to handle the conversation.

## Subscriber Manager vs Broadcast

Subscriber Manager helps you define the audience.

Broadcasting sends the campaign.

A common workflow is:

**Subscriber Manager**

→ Filter audience

→ Identify target customers

→ Broadcast

See [How to Create a WhatsApp Broadcast in ZazzyAgent](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/how-to-create-whatsapp-broadcast-zazzyagent).

## Keep customer data clean

A growing subscriber database should be maintained.

Review:

*   Duplicate records

*   Incorrect phone numbers

*   Old labels

*   Outdated custom-field values

*   Unused sequences

*   Unnecessary subscribers

Clean data makes every downstream automation easier.

## A simple way to think about Subscriber Manager

```text
Once you understand this module, the rest of ZazzyAgent's customer-management features make much more sense.
