# How to View and Filter Subscribers in ZazzyAgent

As your customer list grows, scrolling through every subscriber becomes inefficient.

ZazzyAgent's Subscriber Manager lets you search and filter customers so you can quickly find the people you're looking for.

Filtering is also useful when creating targeted audiences for automation and marketing.

## Search vs filter

These are slightly different.

### Search

You usually know who you're looking for.

Example:

> Find Rahul.

### Filter

You want a group that matches certain rules.

Example:

> Find all customers labelled VIP in Mumbai.

## Open Subscriber Manager

Open the Subscriber Manager for the channel you want to manage.

Each channel can have its own subscriber list.

Select the relevant channel.

## Search for a subscriber

Use the available search field to find a customer.

Search using information supported by the current Subscriber Manager.

For example:

*   Name

*   Phone number

*   Other searchable fields

## Filter by label

Labels are one of the easiest ways to create groups.

Example:

**Label = High Intent**

This shows customers who have been classified as high-intent leads.

The current Subscriber Manager supports label-based filtering.

## Filter by custom field

Custom fields can provide more precise targeting.

Example:

**City = Mumbai**

Or:

**Budget = 50000**

This is especially useful when the customer data was collected through User Input or an AI Agent.

## Filter by sequence

You can also filter customers according to their sequence status where supported.

Example:

> Customers currently enrolled in Sales Follow-up.

This is useful for managing long-running customer journeys.

## Combine filters

The real power comes from combining conditions.

For example:

**Label = High Intent**

AND

**City = Mumbai**

You now have a smaller, more precise audience.

Another example:

**Label = Interested in Product A**

AND

**Not in Sales Follow-up**

This can help identify customers who need to enter a follow-up journey.

The current filtering model supports combining subscriber attributes such as labels, sequences and custom-field values.

## Use filters before bulk actions

Before applying a bulk action, filter first.

For example:

1.  Filter `High Intent`.

2.  Review the resulting audience.

3.  Select the customers.

4. Assign the Sales Follow-up sequence.

This is much safer than selecting hundreds of customers blindly.

## Filter before broadcasting

You can use the same principle when preparing a campaign.

Example:

**Label = VIP**

→ Review audience

→ Send broadcast

This makes it easier to keep a marketing campaign targeted.

For more on broadcasting, see [How to Create a WhatsApp Broadcast in ZazzyAgent](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/how-to-create-whatsapp-broadcast-zazzyagent).

## Example: Find inactive leads

Suppose you want to identify customers who are:

*   Leads

*   Have not converted

*   Need follow-up

Your available filters can be combined to create that audience.

The exact filters depend on what information you store.

## Example: Find high-value customers

You might use:

**Label = VIP**

AND

**Budget > your chosen threshold**

Now you have a much more specific customer group.

## Search is not the same as a segment

A search is usually temporary.

A filtered audience can be used as an operational group for:

*   Broadcasts

*   Sequence assignment

*   Customer management

*   Export

*   Other supported actions

## Review the audience before a bulk action

This is one of the best habits you can develop.

Before clicking a bulk action, check:

> Are these actually the customers I intend to affect?

Especially check this before:

*   Sending a campaign

*   Assigning a sequence

*   Adding a label

*   Deleting subscribers

## Bulk selection

Once the desired audience is filtered, select the subscribers you want.

Available bulk actions can include:

*   Assign Label

*   Assign Sequence

*   Delete

*   Export

The current Subscriber Manager documentation confirms these batch-management capabilities.

## Build useful labels before filtering

Filtering becomes much easier when your label system is organized.

Good:

*   New Lead

*   Qualified Lead

*   Customer

*   VIP

*   High Intent

Less useful:

*   Lead1

*   NewNew

*   Customer2

*   Test3

See [How to Use Labels in ZazzyAgent to Organize Customers](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/how-to-use-labels-zazzyagent).

## Use custom fields for precision

Labels answer broad classification questions.

Custom fields provide actual values.

Example:

**Label**

> Interested in Enterprise

**Custom Field**

> Budget = ₹75,000

That allows much more precise filtering.

See [ZazzyAgent Custom Fields: How to Store Customer Information](https://blog.zazzyagent.com/zazzyagent-custom-fields-guide).

## Example targeting workflow

```text
All subscribers
      ↓
Label = High Intent
      ↓
City = Mumbai
      ↓
Budget > ₹50,000
      ↓
Review audience
      ↓
Assign Sales Follow-up
```

This is a simple example of turning customer data into an operational audience.

## Common mistakes

### Filter is too broad

Add another meaningful condition.

### Filter is too narrow

Review whether you're using AND when you actually need OR, or whether one field doesn't contain values for every customer.

### Expected customers don't appear

Check the stored label/custom-field values.

### Wrong customers appear

Review your filter logic and the data attached to those customers.

## Best practice

Use this sequence:

**Collect good data**

→ **Store it correctly**

→ **Label customers**

→ **Filter intelligently**

→ **Review**

→ **Take action**

The quality of your filters is directly tied to the quality of your customer data.
