# How to Use CTA URL Buttons in ZazzyAgent Whatsapp

Sometimes the best next step isn't another WhatsApp message.

You may want the customer to:

*   Open your website

*   Book an appointment

*   View a product page

*   Complete a form

*   Make a payment

*   Read documentation

*   Visit a landing page

A **CTA URL Button** gives the customer a clear button that opens an external URL.

The current Flow Builder supports CTA URL buttons for WhatsApp chatbot and supported live-chat workflows.

## What is a CTA URL button?

CTA means:

**Call to Action**

A CTA URL button is a clickable action that takes the customer to a web address.

Example:

> Ready to book your appointment?

**Book Now**

The button opens:

> your booking page

## When should you use a CTA URL?

Use it when the customer needs to leave WhatsApp for a specific reason.

Examples:

**Book Appointment**

→ Booking website

**View Product**

→ Product page

**Make Payment**

→ Payment page

**Read Guide**

→ Documentation

**Apply Now**

→ Application form

## Create a CTA URL message

Open Flow Builder.

Create or edit your WhatsApp flow.

Select the CTA URL Button message type.

The current setup uses the CTA URL Button message option inside the bot flow editor.

## Add the message content

Write a short body message.

Example:

> You can choose your appointment time on our booking page.

Then add the CTA button:

**Book Appointment**

## Enter the URL

Add the destination URL.

Make sure it is the exact page you want customers to visit.

Good:

> Your booking page

Poor:

> Homepage

when the customer actually needs to book an appointment.

## Send customers to the right page

A common mistake is sending everyone to the homepage.

Instead, use a deep link where possible.

For example:

**Product enquiry**

→ Specific product page

**Booking request**

→ Booking page

**Support question**

→ Support portal

## CTA for lead generation

Example:

> Want to request a quote?

**Request Quote**

→ Landing page with the quote form.

This can complement your ZazzyAgent lead-generation automation.

## CTA for bookings

Example:

> Choose a convenient time for your appointment.

**Book Appointment**

→ Online booking system.

## CTA for payments

Example:

> Your payment link is ready.

**Make Payment**

→ Secure payment page.

Only send customers to a payment URL you trust and control.

## CTA for product pages

Example:

> Here's the product you asked about.

**View Product**

→ Product URL.

This is particularly useful after an AI Agent answers a product question.

## CTA vs WhatsApp Flow

Use CTA URL when the next step belongs on your website.

Use a WhatsApp Flow when you want the customer to complete a structured form inside WhatsApp.

For example:

### WhatsApp Flow

> Collect name, email and requirement.

### CTA URL

> Customer needs a full booking interface.

## CTA vs button that starts a flow

A flow button keeps the customer inside the automated conversation.

A CTA URL takes the customer to another destination.

Choose based on what you want the customer to do next.

## Use clear button labels

Good:

**Book Appointment**

**View Product**

**Get Directions**

**Complete Application**

Poor:

**Click**

The customer should understand the destination.

## Add context before the CTA

Don't send:

> \[Click Here\]

Instead:

> You can see all available appointment slots here.

**View Availability**

The customer knows what will happen.

## Track the customer's journey

When someone clicks your CTA, they leave the ZazzyAgent conversation for the external website.

Where your website supports it, use appropriate analytics or tracking so you can understand what happens after the click.

## Don't send broken URLs

Before enabling your automation, open the link yourself.

Check:

*   Correct URL

*   Page loads

*   Mobile experience

*   HTTPS

*   Relevant content

* No login problems unless intended

## Test from a phone

A URL that works on a desktop should also be tested on a mobile device.

WhatsApp customers are usually interacting from their phones.

## Common problems

### Button doesn't appear

Check that the CTA URL message is configured correctly.

### Button opens wrong page

Check the exact URL.

### Website doesn't load

Test the destination URL independently.

### Customer doesn't know why they should click

Rewrite the message and button text.

## Example: Lead generation

```text
Interested in a Demo?
        ↓
CTA URL
"Book Your Demo"
        ↓
Website Booking Page
```

## Example: Product enquiry

```text
Customer asks about Product A
        ↓
AI / Bot
        ↓
Product information
        ↓
"View Product"
        ↓
Product page
```

## The rule to remember

Use a CTA URL when:

> **The customer's next action is better completed on your website than inside WhatsApp.**
